International Academic Collaboration: A Week-Long Journey to the UK

Parul University researchers presenting at FICTA 2025 conference in London, UK

Vadodara-based Parul University took a major step in international academic collaboration as their 11 faculty members and researchers from the Micro-Nano Research & Development Center (MNRDC) commenced a week-long tour to the United Kingdom. The visit aimed to broaden the global academic horizons and establish international footprints in research for the university.

Presenting Research at "Frontiers of Intelligence Computing: Theory & Applications 2025"

At the conference "Frontiers of Intelligence Computing: Theory & Applications 2025" hosted by London Metropolitan University, the delegates of Parul University, led by Prof. Anand Joshi, presented their research in micro-nano technologies, intelligent systems, and interdisciplinary computing. The presentations were applauded and sparked insightful conversations, which helped the researchers to connect with other authorities in the domain from across the globe.

Best Paper Presentation Award

Our team members, Unnati Joshi, Sushila Vadu, Vishal Mehta, and Jaivik Pathak from the Parul Institute of Technology, were awarded Best Paper Presentation for their statistical analysis of wear and friction characteristics in PEEK-GO-AgNPs nanocomposites using ANOVA.

Leadership Support and Vision

Prior to departure, the delegation was encouraged by Dr. Geetika M. Patel, Vice President, who emphasized the importance of international exposure in raising research standards. Dr. Devanshu Patel, President, Parul University, stated:

"This visit reflects our commitment to creating global opportunities for our faculty and students. By building international bridges, we aim to lead in innovation and academic excellence."

Building Partnerships with UK Universities

In addition to the conference, the visit also included profound discussions on joint research, faculty partnership, student exchange, and dual-degree programs with five prestigious UK Universities:

  • University of East London
  • University of Surrey
  • Middlesex University
  • Coventry University
  • London Metropolitan University

These insightful interactions widened the university's perspective on global education and strengthened its vision on building an extensive ecosystem.

Exploring Modern Infrastructure and Innovation Ecosystems

The delegation also got an opportunity to explore the modern infrastructure and innovation ecosystems across these esteemed institutions, which helped them gain more insights into the research environment and will help them build the university's ecosystem more earnestly.

Conclusion: A Progressive Approach to Education

Cooperative engagements and initiatives like these reaffirm the university's position as a global leader in interdisciplinary research, innovation, and academic collaboration, leading to a progressive approach in education.
